Adam Kurth married Katharine Binder on March 11, 1880. After Katharine died in 1912, Adam married Ida Gross on January 15, 1914.

Kurth – Ida W. (Gross) Mrs. Ida W. Kurth Dies of a Heart Ailment At Home. Mrs. Ida W. Kurth, 79, lifelong resident of Inver Grove Township, died at her farm home there Friday after having had a heart ailment for a long period. She was the daughter of a pioneer Dakota County farm couple, the late Mr. And Mrs. Phillip Gross. She married Adam Kurth in 1913 and they farmed until his death 20 years later. Since then she continued to live in the area. She is survived by a daughter Mrs. Laurence Elvers, and a son Edward, both of Inver Grove; a sister, Mrs. George Bush of Watsonville, CA; three brothers, William and Arthur Gross of South Saint Paul and Christ of Bismarck, ND, and one grandchild. Mrs. Kurth was active in the Salem Methodist Church, from which funeral services were conducted Monday. Burial was in the Salem Evangelical Cemetery. Kurth – Adam H. Services Held for Old Grove Resident. Adam Kurth Succumbs to Heart Attack – Last Rites Conducted on Tuesday. Funeral services were held for Adam Kurth, 76 years old, pioneer resident of Inver Grove, Tuesday afternoon May 30, at 1:30 o’clock at the Salem M.E. Church with interment in the Evangelical Church Cemetery at Salem. Mr. Kurth passed away at the West Side General Hospital Saturday afternoon after a five days’ illness. Death was attributed to heart disease. He was born in 1857 in the village of New Trier, later moving to Henderson, Minnesota, and then took up his home in Inver Grove 40 years ago. Fifty-three years ago he married Kate Binder, who died in 1912. One year later he married Ida Gross, who survives him. Mr. Kurth devoted his entire life to farming and truck gardening. Besides his widow, Ida, he is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Mary Rolfing, Mrs. Emma Trog, Mrs. Ida Hansen, Mrs. Elizabeth McBride, and Lucille Kurth, and two sons George and Edward Kurth. Baby Boy Kurth was born September 20th 1899 in Inver Grove Township to parents Adam and Katherine (Binder) Kurth. Sadly, the infant died two days later of unknown causes on September 22nd 1899. The infant was interred in lot 65 of Salem EV Kirchhof. [IGT][1899-MN-010161]
