Notes:
Lot 6 was divided into two halves with the top (west) half designated as lot 6W and the bottom (east) half designated as lot 6E. The top half was used for those without a family lot and the bottom for infants and young children. Children were buried in lot 6E from 1888 to 1902.
OBITUARIES - 6E
Baby Girl Zimers was born April 1888 in South Saint Paul. She was 3 months old when she died of erysipelas in South Saint Paul on July 25th 1888. Her parents were both from Germany and she was interred in lot 6E, grave 1, row 2 of Salem EV Kirchhof. [SSP]
Franziska Fredericka Constandt was born October 7th, 1888 and died February 18th, 1889. She was interred in lot 6E, grave 2, row 2 of Salem EV Kirchhof.
Elsie Clara Wunderlich was born June 7th 1889 and died seven days later on June 14th 1889. She was interred in lot 6E, grave 3, row 2 of Salem EV Kirchhof.
Gustaf Schneider was born February 6th 1892. He died March 13th 1892 and was interred lot 6E, grave 6, row 2 of Salem EV Kirchhof.
Baby Girl Hoppe, Mr. Herman Hoppe, the Stryker Avenue grocer, welcomed a little girl baby to his home on Tuesday evening of last week, but it faded away and died on Wednesday, leaving sorrowing parents. [West Saint Paul Times: Sat. 17 Jun. 1893]
William Aszmann was born circa 1891 and died November 1894 at the age of 3. He was interred in lot 6E, graves 13 and 14, row 2 of Salem EV Kirchhof.
Helena Emma Schmidt was born February 27th 1890. She died September 11th 1895 at the age of 5. Helen was interred in lot 6E, grave 8, row 2 of Salem EV Kirchhof.
William Aszmann was born August 31st 1897 and died a week later on September 7th 1897. He was interred in lot 6E, grave 12, row 2 of Salem EV Kirchhof.
Herman Paul Brotzler was born November 30th or December 1st 1899 in South Saint Paul of parents Jakob and Margarethe (Leidig) Brotzler. Herman died July 25th 1900 in South Saint Paul of convulsions and cholera infantum. He was interred in lot 6E, grave 11, row 2 of Salem EV Kirchhof. [SSP][1900-MN-021876]
Christina Brotzler was born August 7th 1901 of parents Jakob and Margarethe (Leidig) Brotzler. She died August 12th 1902 at the age of 1. Christina was interred in lot 6E, grave 11, row 2 of Salem EV Kirchhof.

Grave 1: Henry D. Foster, ca. 1856-1886 (Died 7/19/1886)
A man named Henry D. Foster was drowned in Sunfish Lake, West Saint Paul, Monday evening, while bathing. The deputy coroner, Michael Heinen, was notified, but deemed an inquest unnecessary. The funeral took place on Wednesday from the German Methodist Church of that town, at ten o’clock. [Hastings Gazette, Sat. 24 Jul. 1886, page 4, col. 4]
Henry D. Foster was born in Indiana circa 1856. His regular occupation was coachman. He was a hired man who worked at the Fairchild farm in West Saint Paul Township. He drowned in Sunfish Lake on July 19th 1886. Henry was interred in lot 6W, grave 1, row 1 of Salem EV Kirchhof. [WSP]
Grave 2: Rosa Noller, 1867-1887 (5/21/1867 – 1/12/1887)
Rosa Noller was born March 3rd 1867 in Germany. Rose and her parents arrived in Minnesota on May 21st 1885. She lived in South Saint Paul with her father Michael and her mother. Rose died January 12th 1887 in South Saint Paul of consumption at the age of 19. She was interred in lot 6W, grave 2, row 1 of Salem EV Kirchhof. [SSP]
Grave 3: Anna Calk, 1891-1902 (10/27/1891 – 2/3/1902)
Anna Calk was born October 27th 1891. She died February 3rd 1902 at the age of 10. Anna was interred in lot 6W, grave 3, row 1 of Salem EV Kirchhof.
Grave 4: Charles J. Schneider, ca. 1864-1934 (Died 1/11/1934)
Schneider – Charles J., age 70 years, died at home of C. J. Zehnder in Inver Grove Township. Funeral services from the Meeker Chapel, South St. Paul, Sunday, Jan. 14th, at 2 p.m. Interment Salem Cemetery. [Saint Paul Pioneer Press: 14 Jan. 1934]
Funeral services were held Sunday for Charles Schneider at 2:00 o’clock from the Meeker Funeral Home, with interment in the Salem Cemetery. Rev. B.F. Koch conducted the services. Mr. Schneider was a resident of Salem for the past forty years, and made his home with Mr. And Mrs. C.J. Zehnder of Salem during that time. He died in the Zehnder home Thursday night. He has been in failing health for the past several years. Mr. Schneider is survived by a brother in California and a sister who lives in Waconia.
